Abraham of Engedi is one of my favorite characters in The Poem of the Man God. He is introduced to us in chapter 389. Preaching and Miracles at Engedi. He is a faithful Israelite as well as the old and admired head of the synagogue in Engedi. Judas of Alphaeus introduces him to the Jesus thus: <<Here, Master and Lord. We have done what You told us and these people are aware that the Grace of God is among them. But they want also the Word. Many know You have heard of You. Many because they met You in Jerusalem. Everybody, and the women in particular, wish to know You, and first of all, their head of the synagogue. There he is. Come here, Abraham.>>
After the Glorification, Abraham is one to whom Jesus appears and He grants Abraham the grace of dying in the arms of Our Resurrected Lord. 628. Jesus Appears to Various People in Different Places. VII. To Abraham of Engedi, who dies in His Arms. 16th and 17th April 1947.
